Mrs. Elizabeth Joseph

Mrs. Joseph was born and raised in India and has been in the educational field for over twenty years. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts,  Master's Degree in English Language and Literature, Teaching Credential with a CLAD certification and a Math, Science, Technology emphasis, and Administrative Services Credential with emphasis on instructional leadership. She has been working in the Diocese of San Diego since 1997 and as the principal of St. Francis School since 2013. She is honored to be the principal of this amazing school and is looking forward to a dedicated partnership with parents and the parish to provide an excellent Catholic education to every one of the students.

Faith and love of God are integral parts of Mrs. Joseph’s life. She believes she is called to spread the Good News of Jesus through words and actions.  Teaching is her passion and when she can do it in a Christ-centered environment, she feels fulfilled and rewarded. Her teaching philosophy of individualizing and differentiating education benefits every child in the School. She truly believes in engaging the students to think critically and reason intellectually to prepare them to be successful citizens and exceptional leaders of tomorrow. Above all, she feels it is her mission to bring Christ’s love to every one of her students and to teach them to love Jesus dearly.

Mrs. Joseph has been married to her husband, George for 27 years and has a son, James who just graduated from law school. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, watching movies and shopping. 

Mrs. Joseph is eager to share her gifts with the St. Francis Community and looking forward to a faith filled and fruitful year ahead with the children and their families.

Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Mary Drego

Mrs. Drego, administrative assistant at the school office, and has worked at St. Francis since 1987. She began volunteering at the school office when her two children, alumni of St. Francis, started attending the school. Within a few months, she was hired and remains an active member of the school staff. Mrs. Drego loves serving people and is patient with all of the children and families. Before coming to the United States, Mrs. Drego lived in many countries as a child and young woman giving her a very unique, international education that is of great value to the St. Francis School and Parish communities. She spends her free time with her husband gardening, visiting their children, and cooking.


Ms. Jenny Ramos

Jenny has been working at St. Francis since 2015. She is bilingual and has worked on accounting and payroll. At. St. Francis she enjoys being the receptionist, meeting and greeting perspective families, answering the phones, taking care of student needs and also taking care of all the purchasing needs of the school. She is also the daughter of Juan Carols Ramos, niece of Eugenio Ramos, and a member of St. Francis parish.
