Faith Formation & Curriculum

St Francis Preschool provides a Christ-centered learning environment where the development of the whole child is our main focus. We let each child know they are a special child of God, loved and blessed by Him.

Through a combination of play-based, sensory, hands-on opportunities and structured activities we concentrate on spiritual, social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. Each of the classes focus on the age-appropriate developmental needs of the children in our care. That focus helps us create a stimulating program that provides hands-on learning centers, individualized attention and encourage each child’s individual growth.

Children are encouraged to explore the world around them and experience the goodness of God. We hope to instill a natural curiosity to learn, experiment, discover and think.

Religion is integrated within all aspects of our curriculum. We facilitate Character Development to teach the concepts of fairness, respect, responsibility and love for each other. We support the development of cultural awareness, self-identity and family relationships.

We start each day with age-appropriate prayers of adoration and thanksgiving, including singing and movement, as we praise God. In Pre-K, students attend 8am Friday Mass with the K-8 students starting in November. We have prayerful celebrations in the classroom, in addition to our beautiful Holy Day celebrations, in which all children participate.
